Carol Boland

Carol is a Psychotherapist and Counsellor holding membership with HCPC and BACP.

From Carol:

Psychotherapy can offer a safe space to share your troubles and make new choices.  My practice is grounded in the therapeutic relationship.  As a lot of individual suffering occurs in relationship to a significant other, one cannot heal in isolation.  Together we can create more awareness of the issues that trouble you and decipher better paths for understanding and change.  The integrative model offers an over-arching structure for therapeutic interventions from lots of different modalities, allowing a holistic and flexible approach.  I also trained in Arts Psychotherapy.  We can use artmaking if this is something that interests you.

I have experience working in the NHS, community, charities, and the private sector.  I have worked with individuals and groups, within multicultural settings, who have experienced a variety of issues including abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, homelessness, physical illness, poverty, and trauma.  I offer a non-judgemental, supportive environment where all issues are welcome for us to explore together.

Originally from Dublin, my background is in the Arts, Design and Education.
