Jess Queree

Jess is a Gestalt trainee psychotherapist.

From Jess:

People make the choice to start therapy for many reasons: maybe you’ve experienced a loss, are finding it hard to feel in control of your life, or want to better understand who you are. I’ll work with you to build a relationship in which you can learn about how you are in the world and examine patterns and ideas from the past that might need updating for where you find yourself now.

You might be wondering what therapy with me would be like. This is something that is different with every client, but could include paying attention to your body and sensations, supporting you to try something new, and using my own experience with you to understand what could be happening in other relationships. Fundamental to my approach is the idea that you are the expert in your own experience and my role is to listen, pay attention, and explore what I notice.

The relationship between you and your therapist is one of the most important factors in how useful the therapy will be, and I’m keen that you’re able to make an informed decision about working with me.

I am a trainee psychotherapist working towards a MSc from Metanoia Institute in London. I provide one-to-one weekly therapy for adults, on either a short-term or ongoing basis. I have experience working with a range of psychological and emotional issues including anxiety, depression, loss, and relationship issues, and in working with LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse clients.

My training is in Gestalt psychotherapy. More information about the theory behind this is available here https://www.verywellmind.com/what-is-gestalt-therapy-4584583.
