Josephine Odufuwa

Josephine is a Psychodynamic therapist.

From Josephine:

Therapy recognises that you do to have to do life completely alone. I work to help build an individual’s sense of self that allows them to acknowledge their own needs and help them to navigate life and its difficulties.

I work primarily with a psychodynamic approach and in working this way I am able to offer insight and guidance into deep rooted patterns as far back as childhood, and an understanding into troubling or repetitive behaviours and ways of thinking that still affect individuals today.

I believe in building a positive and safe therapeutic relationship with clients, one of empathy and acceptance. In order to do this, I ensure I offer a non-judgmental, honest and open space for clients to think about their needs and emotions. I have experience working with diverse groups and I acknowledge that one size does not fit all so it is always important for me to acknowledge difference in the work that I do.
