Alex Sim

Alex is a person-centred counsellor working with adults, young people and children.

From Alex:

Perhaps something in your life needs to change but you’re not sure where to start. I offer therapy for anyone trying to navigate trauma and loss, identity/belonging, or transition.

I’m a person-centred counsellor, helping people in a way that speaks to who they are, with a curious, relational approach. I uphold a non-judgemental space for expansion of your self-awareness, emotional capacity, and to cultivate self-compassion and acceptance.

My experience working in community with children and young people, and refugees and migrants who’ve experienced gender-based violence, has helped shape the values and lens of my practice: trauma-informed, liberatory and decolonial, culturally aware, systemic, and with radical kindness.

I strive to help people be seen as human, in a 21st century world that can sometimes feel dehumanising.

Available for open-ended work, as well as focused short-term work.
