Steph Eeles
Steph is a Person Centred Counsellor working with one to one with adults.
From Steph:
Hello, I’m Steph and I’m a Person Centred counsellor who works with adults. Working in a Person-Centred way means that I will provide a safe place where I will listen to you with acceptance and empathy.
Counselling is different from talking to a friend or family member, I don’t offer advice or have all the answers, but will work with you to build a space of trust, warmth and honesty where you can explore what you need to. You decide what you would like to talk about and work on each session, allowing you the freedom to make sense of things at your own pace. I will be alongside you on your exploration, offering support and helping you understand these new insights and clarity. The work can be empowering as you feel heard, understood and have freedom to make your own choices.
I’ve worked with adults on a variety of difficulties including depression, anxiety, problems at work, relationships, family dynamics, grief, motherhood, and making sense of the past. Even though I haven’t experienced all of these myself, I strive to understand how you are feeling, and allow you to explore what you need to without judgement. This will allow you to gain the answers you are looking for, and to find a better understanding and acceptance of yourself.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I work to their code of ethics. This includes keeping what you talk about in the sessions confidential, and my session notes will not contain any identifiable details.
I am available at 10am and 11am on Tuesday mornings at Caya Therapy and work in a ground floor room which is accessible.
Sessions are charged at £70 for 50 minutes, and I can work short and long term, depending on what you need.
