Suzanne Dinsdale

Suzanne is an integrative psychotherapist.

From Suzanne:

“It’s the relationship that heals,” ~ Irvin Yalom

For me, therapy is a partnership. It’s about a co-created connection that allows someone to come into a space and feel safe enough to trust and open-up. One where they can share and examine what’s harming or hindering them, secure in the feeling that they have a supportive ally at their side.

What I bring to the relationship is compassion, a willingness to listen, and an alternative perspective. Using my experience and knowledge, I can share insights and point you to helpful approaches, tools, and resources that can support you in changing how you view and feel about your struggles. All with the aim of building resilience and self-empowerment so that you can go back out into the world more able to navigate through life in a more self-supportive, and healthier way.

In my 15 years as a psychotherapist, I have worked with a wide array of issues, providing both short-term and long-term therapy options. As well as private practice, I have worked in charitable organisations, providing counselling for those struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as trauma resulting from childhood abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and suicidal ideation. To support you, I may utilise techniques such as CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), exploration of early life experiences, Mindfulness and breathwork, or body-based and creative interventions, all informed by my strong background in trauma-informed therapy. The most important thing to me is to find the approach that works best for you.

As a UKCP member, I prioritise ethical practice in line with their policies and guidelines to ensure the best possible client care.
