Brooke de Bruyn

Brooke is a HCPC and BAAT registered Art Psychotherapist, working with adults, children and young people.

From Brooke:

I work with adults, children and young people navigating a wide range of experiences including; anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, identity, and life transitions. I offer a space that is both boundaried and genuinely open to whatever you bring.

My approach is psychodynamic, which means I pay attention to the deeper patterns and unconscious processes that shape how we feel and relate to ourselves and to others. I believe that our social context, relationships, and sense of identity are all part of the picture, and I hold these with care throughout our work together.

My practice is inclusive, trauma-informed, and grounded in warmth and respect. You do not need to have any experience with art or consider yourself creative. The materials are simply another way of exploring what is present for you and can sometimes allow us to reach places that words alone cannot.

Feel free to contact me for a free 20-minute telephone consultation to answer any questions you may have.
