From Ellie
I am a creative psychotherapist offering a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental space for therapy. My work integrates creative approaches alongside verbal and narrative-based therapy, recognising that not everyone expresses themselves through words alone. I work one-to-one, supporting people to explore their experiences, relationships, identity, emotions, and sense of self at their own pace.
I believe therapy should feel like a brave and compassionate space, somewhere you can bring the parts of yourself that may feel difficult, unheard, or overwhelming without fear of judgement. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in curiosity, empowerment, and care. Together, we can explore the stories you hold about yourself and your experiences and consider how these stories may be reshaped or reclaimed.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a specialist psychotherapist within an NHS Sexual Assault Referral Centre. Here I support survivors of sexual assault, and I am part of a specialist team working with vulnerable young adults. In addition, throughout my career I have worked across a range of mental health and community settings, supporting people experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and experiences of marginalisation.
My background in Dance Movement Psychotherapy and narrative therapy informs the way I work creatively and collaboratively. Narrative therapy recognises that people are not defined by their problems or experiences, while creative therapy can help access emotions, memories, and ways of communicating that may feel difficult to put into words. Sessions are always collaborative and adapted to your individual needs and comfort.
I work within professional and ethical guidelines to ensure therapy remains safe, confidential, and supportive.
If you feel I may be the right psychotherapist for you, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call as an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little better. There’s no pressure or expectation, just an informal space where you can ask any questions, share a little about what has brought you to therapy, and explore whether working together feels right for you.
