Justine Aspey
Justine is a Systemic psychotherapist working with children, young people and their families.
From Justine:
I am a Tavistock and Portman trained Family Therapist with an MA in Systemic Psychotherapy accredited by The Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practise (AFSP) with registration in process with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
I work with children, young people and their families across a range of emotional, behavioural and relational challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative and non-judgemental, with a focus on understanding each person within the wider context of their relationships, culture and experiences.
I have clinical experience across Tier 3 CAMHS, as well as within school and community settings, supporting children and young people with presentations including behavioural and emotional difficulties, neurodiversity, school avoidance, self-harm and suicidal ideation. I have a particular interest in working with mixed heritage families through my own lived experience, and I am mindful of the complex identities and systemic influences that can shape these experiences. With experience across corporate and school governance settings, I bring an understanding of the varied pressures people face at work, in education, and within wider systems.
I work alongside families to strengthen communication, navigate periods of stress or breakdown, and develop new ways of understanding and supporting one another. My aim is to create a safe and reflective space where meaningful and sustainable change can emerge.
I also work with couples as well as providing individual therapy to young people and adults.
I work in accordance with AFSP’s policies and procedures as well as having strong personal ethics.
Please get in touch if you’d like to arrange a first session or an informal, no-obligation call to explore whether I might be the right therapist for you.
