From Meriel:
I’m a qualified and accredited Art Therapist and Clinical Supervisor with many years of experience supporting children in school settings. My approach is gentle, culturally sensitive, and designed to help with challenges such as anxiety, low mood, bullying, peer and academic pressure, trauma, bereavement, and neurodivergence.
I also work with adults and have a particular interest in the connection between emotional and physical health -how feelings can sometimes show up as pain or recurring illness. Through gentle exploration and creative processes, I help you uncover patterns and negative cycles that may be contributing to these struggles. Together, we’ll work towards a deeper understanding of how you process life events, creating space for healing and positive change.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy in a safe, confidential space where art and creativity provide a powerful way to express feelings that can be hard to put into words. Making art can help process experiences that feel overwhelming or difficult to talk about.
Together, we’ll use a supportive, psychodynamic approach to explore patterns from the past that may be influencing the present. This process can help you build insight, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
Please feel welcome to contact me if you would like to arrange a first session.
